This is an energizing, physical meditation that opens breathing, body, and inner energies, followed by witnessing and dancing. It lasts for one hour and has five stages. It can be done alone, but it is also a very powerful and helpful experience to do it as a group. When doing this meditation in a group, the meditation remains an individual experience. Keeping the eyes closed, one remains oblivious of other participants around. Using a blindfold can be helpful to keep your attention focused inward. It is best to have an empty stomach and wear loose comfortable clothing.
In the first 10 minutes there is rapid chaotic breathing; then the second 10 minutes everyon is allowed to express out loud their tears, sadness, anger, frustrations; the third stage is using a Sufi based tradition of jumping up and down with arms raised saying a mantra Hoo -Hoo; then for 15 minutes we are all very still in silence and then for 15 minutes we have free form dance celebration.
This meditation technique has been scientifically designed by Osho. It is best to be done in its complete form, with nothing shortened or omitted. It has traditionally been done in the morning. But it can be done anytime you can fit it into your schedule. We present this meditation weekly as it has been for us extremely helpful and transformational!
