Tribal Dance Meditation
In many Schools of Meditation and Spiritual Groups free-style dance & body movements are used to help us move from the chattering mind to grounding us in the body and from there, to the stillness within each of us. Dance and Body Movements are one of the oldest forms of expression to help connect to the body and soul.
Harida and Rupesh, two well known musicians in some circles created the music for this one-hour, four part meditation. The Stages are: 1. Letting the body move to the music called ‘Rhythm of Water’; 2. Sitting still, while putting attention to the second centering chakra located two inches below the belly button, while listening to a musical section called ‘Empowering the Hara’; 3. Moving the body to the music call ‘Rhythm of Fire’; 4 Sitting or Lying Down, allowing yourself to deeply relax while listening to the music titled ‘One with the Universe’.
Before and after each meditation there is time to connect, ask questions and have a cup of tea.
The Tribal Meditation CD can be brought at the WOM Center or through our Website.
Tribal Meditation CD This CD is also sold at the Center.
The World of Meditation is located in a residential neighborhood. Look for the stained-glass butterfly in the window on the top level. There are many parking spaces (at least 9) in the large driveway, or park in front of the raspberry bushes. There is virtually unlimited parking on 35th Ave, NE. Or on 114th – but only park on the side of the school – not in front of houses. The neighbor on the north corner (same side as center) of 115th and 35th asks that no one parks in front of their house on 115th. Park in the flow of traffic or you might get a ticket. Thank you for your consideration.
