The New Year’s Eve Party begins with the Nadabharma Meditation at 7pm, and is followed by a Vegetarian Potluck at 8:30pm and then possibly Dancing, Games, Drawing a Tarot Card for the New Year – all will unfold organically.
About the Potluck: Please bring an abundant amount of food. If you are in a couple really bring extra generous amounts. Thank you. We have had great potlucks since people are now bringing enough food and are putting some energy into what they bring. It doesn’t matter if you cook it yourself or buy it – just imagine you are helping to create a feast!
Cost $11.00 or $7.00 with a 10-meditation pass, which costs $70. – All money goes to cover costs of this event, maintain the Center & the surrounding park-like grounds.,
The World of Meditation is located in a residential neighborhood. Look for the stained-glass butterfly in the window on the top level. There are many parking spaces (at least 9) in the large driveway, or park in front of the raspberry bushes. There is virtually unlimited parking on 35th Ave, NE. Or on 34th Ave NE- but only park on the side of the school – not in front of houses. The neighbor on the northeast corner of 115th and 35th asks that no one parks in front of their house on 115th (same side as Center). Thank you for your consideration. When parking on the street, always parking in the direction of the flow of traffic – otherwise you will most likely get a ticket – (this is written from experience)!
