As part of the Heart and Soul series, each Wednesday we will present a Meditation from the numerous meditation traditions Osho has given us. We want to share and pass on as many of these as possible. Often when Shanti (one of the meditation facilitators of The World of Meditation) would meet with Osho in a darshan, he would introduce to her a meditation technique, asking her to try it out. Her love for experimenting with a variety of techniques continues even to this day.
Each session we will introduce the particular meditation presented. Then we will all do the meditation. There is always time before and after each meditation to ask questions and to just hang out with each other!

What is Lunchtime with Osho? We are offering an audio series (on Zoom!) of Osho’s discourses, which he gave in Pune, India! Five times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday), from 12 noon to 1:00 PM, you’ll be able to hear Osho speaking on a variety of relevant topics. Each day will be a part of a series that he gave live; and it will continue until the series has been completed – followed by a NEW series! Why do we offer these meditations? We were fortunate to be in Osho’s presence, as he gave these discourses! Now, you will have the opportunity to visit with Osho online and hear how he shared his understandings and insights with fellow travelers! How do we do it? We will introduce the series, and let Osho do the rest! You can choose how you wish to listen! For example, you can sit in a relax position, or in a more formal meditation position with spine straight. The eyes can be opened, half opened looking softly in front of you, or closed. Some people are able to listen while doing things like: cooking, eating, cleaning, gardening or some other activity. And some can even listen while driving! But for others it may be difficult to be active AND listen, as one can enter into an inner state that may interfere with what you are doing!
Please note: A complete Osho discourse might take two hours or slightly longer to be completed. The discourse presented is broken up into hour increments. As they might be slightly longer, then we will go over the time. We will always tell you when that will happen. Of course you are free to leave at anytime depending on your schedule.
What is the Sacred Sharing Circle? Most people do not think of Sharing Groups as having a meditative quality. At World of Meditation, our Sacred Sharing group is designed to give each participant a chance to test the waters of speaking freely and openly, as well as practicing listening as a meditation.
Why do we offer a Sharing Circle? We offer this Sacred Sharing Circle because we find it to be of great value in learning how to express ourselves more honestly – and in connection with a deeper part of who we really are. This practice is extremely helpful in bringing that quality into our daily life.
The Sacred Sharing Circle offers a safe, confidential space for us to speak and to be heard in a meditative and non-confronting atmosphere. Everything spoken is held in utmost confidence and everyone agrees not to discuss with others outside the circle what has been said. The only exception is that a person may speak to others about their own personal sharing.
How we do it: The group has a non-intrusive facilitation by Shanti and Subhan. Each person has 10 minutes for sharing and 5 minutes for feedback, if they wish to have feedback.
Each weekly session starts with a short meditation to ground ourselves, so that we are able to speak whatever we want to share, and to listen attentively to each other.
During a sharing everyone is asked to be fully present for the person sharing. We keep our eyes on them and are open to them, without interrupting them, or trying to “rescue” them in any way, or drawing attention to ourselves through sounds or gestures. If the person sharing feels to stop talking, it is fine to be in silence for the remainder of their time. Much can happen in that silence.
It’s good to remember that there is no dialogue exchange in either the sharing or feedback time. During feedback, the speaker simply listens.
If the person sharing wants feedback or help, they can ask for it after the sharing time is completed. Feedback is most helpful when it is not loaded with advice or attempts to “therapize,” but rather it acknowledges what you have heard them say and suggests an alternative if you see a possible blind spot or unconscious pattern. We ask that your feedback be as short and clear as possible so that there is space for others to share what they perceive. If you are the one receiving feedback, you receive it without responding.
Subhan is a co-director at the World of Meditation center. He leads life transforming workshops and guides us to self awareness practice through his thought provoking writing.

Osho Gibberish (No-Mind) Meditation a part of the Heart and Soul Meditation Series (Online or In-Person)
Note: Please do not come In-Person if you feel any physical symptoms – including allergies)
What is No-Mind Meditation?- The Osho Gibberish (No- Mind) meditation is a method that will help release tensions, anxiety and the energy gathered in the over-thinking mind.
Why do we offer it? It’s a helpful meditation technique that can be used anytime during the day when needed. The Mystic Osho introduced this saying: ‘“I am dealing with the contemporary man who is the most restless being that has ever evolved on the earth. But people do become silent; you just have to allow them to throw out their madness, insanity then they themselves become silent ”
How do we do it?
We start by speaking in Gibberish – nonsense sounds and syllable. We will introduce how to do this.By speaking in Gibberish and not any language you know, it detaches us from thoughts, so we are not caught in them. And it helps release the energy of the thinking process!
“Just say everything that you ever wanted to say and have not been able to say because of civilization, education, culture, and society… And say it in any language you don’t know!…Shouting, laughing, crying, making noises making gestures. As you throw it out you will find yourself becoming light, becoming more alive.” (Osho)
This part of the meditation lasts 30 minutes and it is done out loud. If sound is a problem we can give suggestions how to do this, just as effectively but iusing as loud whispers as possible. This first part prepares us for the second part.
Sitting in Silence ~ In the second 30 minute part, after participating in the gibberish we sit silently with straight back – on a chair or cushion. The eyes can be half opened with the gaze downward or the eyes closed. We just observe any body sensations, breath, thoughts and emotions that may pass through.
“No-Mind means intelligence. Mind means gibberish, not intelligence, and when I am asking you for gibberish, I am simply asking you to throw out the mind and all its activity so you remain behind – pure, clean, transparent, perceptive,” Osho
This meditation designed by Osho, is to cleanse and de-stress the mind. He has said that “the word “gibberish” comes from a Sufi mystic, Jabbar. Jabbar never spoke any language, he just uttered nonsense. Still he had thousands of disciples because what he was saying was,’ Your mind is nothing but gibberish. Put it aside and you will have a taste of your own being. Use gibberish and go consciously crazy. Go crazy with absolute awareness so that you become the center of the cyclone. Simply allow whatever comes, without bothering whether it is meaningful or reasonable. Just throw out all mind garbage and create the space in which the Buddha appears.”
The second part is silence and witnessing. The cyclone is gone and has taken you also away. The Buddha has taken its place in absolute silence and immobility. You are just witnessing the body, the mind and anything that is happening.
Gibberish when done with absolute intensity, takes us out of our logical mind and into the realms of the mysterious and spiritual. It supports participants to move beyond their usual boundaries of expression and daily structures, to experience a state beyond mind.
People who have participated in the No-Mind meditation around the world report that they have experienced themselves as more open and centered afterwards, and find they can be much more deeply relaxed and silent during meditation.
