From the Surface to the Depths: Diving into Meditation!

We all know how difficult it is to schedule in meditations! And, it is one thing to meditate periodically, and another to meditate regularly. By “regularly,” Osho strongly suggests that we do one hour of meditation every day!
Yes, this can be difficult!
But perhaps by not having a regular meditation schedule, we have insufficient experiences in meditation that can support the understanding of how IMPORTANT it IS to meditate every day.

So, THAT is why we are offering this weekend workshop! This is the approach that Osho used in his Meditation Camps! You’ll be able to experience a variety of meditations, so that you can decide if one of them calls you to be an integral part of your life! You’ll also have insightful experiences and insights by doing a NUMBER OF MEDITATIONS over a weekend. By doing this, the mind has less time to interfere with the meditation processes!

Osho’s meditations help us digest daily experiences, and truly support any “therapy-type” workshops or therapeutic sessions that many of us have experienced. He explained that the therapy workshops help us clear out psychological rocks that come up as we begin the inner journey. But he insisted that meditation techniques always be part of therapeutic workshops. These techniques help us digest all that has come up and also give us a chance to gain the knack of being a watcher – of being able to watch body sensations, then thoughts, and then emotions that rise up in the mind/body.
Then, we are able to move into the depths of inner silence, which is the experience of being, and beyond the chatter of the overthinking mind.

Unless we attain the relaxation, awareness and absence of the judging mind that meditation produces, we will only live on the circumference of life – caught up in our beliefs, thoughts, emotions and conditioning. Meditation techniques help us move past the superficial outer layers of the mind, into our very still and silent point of our inner center.

When a rock is thrown into the water, it creates ripples and the water changes colors, but with time everything settles down and becomes still. We too are busy on the surface of daily activities, but as we stop and turn within, slowly we move from the outer realms closer to the inner center, with its subtleties of energies and inner whisperings.

Spending a weekend meditating gives a chance for the mind, emotions and body to become quieter and more at ease. This allows the timeless space within you to reveal itself, which can be the significant gift that this workshop can offer you!

A meditation weekend will give nourishment so we can return to the outer world refreshed, having touched on unseen inner support and centeredness. This inner reality is always beckoning us to embrace it; and once tasted, it grows, allowing us to flourish and to begin to hear our inner guidance as we navigate existence.

This weekend we will offer both active and passive meditation technique from a variety of different traditions. We will also introduce and practice short meditation techniques that can be used in our day-to-day activities, so that we weave the experiences of meditation into our lives!
