Tribal Dance Meditation a part of the Heart & Soul Meditation Series (Online)
What is the The Tribal Meditation & How do we do it? It is an active meditation, that first helps release the mind/body anxiety and stress, creating a space for the movement of life energy throughout the body! This results in relaxation and inner quietness. It consists of four stages of with beautiful music created for each part: 1) Rhythm of Water – allow the body to move freely, relaxing the neck, shoulders, arms and all the muscles in the body. Give elasticity to your spine and remember to breathe. Let the dance flow like a river. 2) Rhythm of Fire – allow the body to move like a flame letting the rhythm of the dance touch all the cells of your body. 3) Sitting with Spine straight, on a chair or cushion, eyes closed – put all your awareness into the Hara Center – two inches below the belly button and breath naturally into that Center. 4) One with the Universe – lie on your back relaxing.
Osho on Dance: “When you dance, you become a whirlwind and by and by, you are completely lost in your dancing, it happens – something breaks down inside you, the barriers are lost – you become one unity. A great orgasm spreads all over your being. You are in tune with existence in those moments.”
Expectations in Meditation by Mystic Osho
As part of the Heart and Soul series, each Wednesday we will present a Meditation from the numerous meditation traditions Osho has given us. We want to share and pass on as many of these as possible. Often when Shanti (one of the meditation facilitators of The World of Meditation) would meet with Osho in a darshan, he would introduce to her a meditation technique, asking her to try it out. Her love for experimenting with a variety of techniques continues even to this day.
Each session we will introduce the particular meditation presented. Then we will all do the meditation. There is always time before and after each meditation to ask questions and to just hang out with each other!
