Desires & Diversions: And How to Deal With Them! Online Workshop! October 15th – 17th

If you watch your mind, you will discover that it is a “wanting machine!” It always wants – or doesn’t want – things, situations, relationships and more! And, ultimately, it doesn’t matter what the object of the want is. The unfulfilled OR fulfilled want gives way almost immediately to another want.

If we identify with the mind, then its unsatisfied “wanting” experiences are constant, and produce exhaustion, pain, fear, worry, anxiety, sadness, anger and frustration – a host of negative perceptions and activities that substantially decrease the quality of life.

So, what do we do with this anxiety and pain – that are the byproduct of “wanting?” THAT is what moves us to DIVERT from the pain and DISTRACT ourselves. The list of diversions is substantial! Sex, drugs, rock and roll, the internet, food, the cell phone, movies, TV, sports, and politics and news, to name a few! Even work (as in workaholic) and sleep are used to divert!

We have spent a big part of our life avoiding the pain that “wanting” creates, and seeking the “pleasure” that diversions offer. No wonder there is a multi-billion dollar entertainment industry that indulges our craving for an alternate reality – away from what makes us uncomfortable!

But diversions only last a short time; and once again we are thrust into the discomfort and pain of wanting more, wanting better, wanting to get closer, wanting to be farther away, wanting…wanting…wanting!! And ALL of this keeps us distracted from our real nature within that offers real harmony and bliss in life!!

This workshop will assist you in uncovering how, where and when the mind creates “wants.” It will help you understand the measures that the mind goes to, in order to avoid the discomfort that anxiety produces. And it will assist you in experiencing how to solve this dilemma that we constantly being confronted with – whether we recognize it or not!

The solution of seeing, penetrating and understanding the reality that the mind produces will greatly enhance the quality of your life!

Isn’t it time to go beyond the confusion and discomfort that “wanting” and diversions create?

Here, you will even learn to experience what you are when you don’t want! And, you will find the satisfaction, fulfillment and joy of connecting with an inner source of harmony that is always available!
