Yikes! Why Don’t I Feel Fulfilled?? (An Online Weekend Workshop June 24-26)
Question: Is your life not good enough to truly fulfill you – AND not bad enough to require that you change it? This includes your job, your relationships (intimate, family and friendships), your money situation, your spiritual life, your happiness, your creativity, and any other areas where fulfillment could be lacking.
We understand this dilemma! SOMETHING is stopping us from achieving the happiness that we seek in life. It is a large part of our own life’s work to resolve this situation, so that we live a more satisfying, fulfilling life! This workshop has been created to help anyone who feels that life has not been truly fulfilling for them, but they have been unable to make the necessary changes so that it IS fulfilling!
Most of us have been conditioned to believe that if we pursue happiness – if we try hard enough – we will be able to create a life that is really “good enough.” Then we can move beyond the difficulties and problems and worries that life has given us. Just a little more effort, and we’ll arrive at that place called “happiness.”
And yet, the more we try, the more we do, we never seem to get there!
So, we try and we try again. But still, we find ourselves feeling frustrated, anxious and unfulfilled. Oh yes, there are brief moments of pleasure when it seems we are getting something we want. But they disappear all too quickly. That’s where the expression “short-lived” comes from! So, you’d think that we would get tired of chasing happiness – a proverbial carrot on a stick – and never fulfilling the promise of getting there!
Most of us NEVER seem to have enough of this chase. We never have enough of what we DON’T want! As a result, life is also never “bad enough” to require us to stop chasing and start changing!
So many of us get trapped in the middle, where life is not good enough, but also not bad enough! That’s because in this middle space we have just enough hopes, dreams, desires, wishes and expectations to keep us going. AND, when this produces anxiety, frustration, worry, fear, tension and pain (both psychological and physical), we can always find some form of distraction or entertainment to keep us occupied! Then, we never go very deeply into what we think of as the negative, painful parts of life. And we never resolve this dilemma!
Here’s what we’re offering to you in this workshop. You’ll be able to experience and understand:
– how you have arrived in this place we call “not good enough;”
– how you get stuck there;
– how you elude getting to and experiencing the place called “bad enough;”
– and finally, how you can find your way OUT of this situation – and RESOLVE it!
Ready for an adventurous weekend of inquiry and resolution? This is certainly one of them!
