Mandala Meditation as part of the Heart and Soul Meditation (Online)

 

 

This Mandala Meditation is helpful for our personal centering and also for connecting us with the third eye chakkra.  It lasts one hour – we always leave time for presenting the meditation,  answering any questions and hanging out afterwards.

The Mandala Meditation is divided into four stages or parts.

The first 15 minutes we run in place lifting out knees as high as possible. If you are physically not capable of this there are alternatives.  One is to run in place as best as you can or to run or walk as rapidly as you can around your space.

In the second stage with eyes closed, mouth slightly open, gently rotate your body from the waist like a reed blowing in the wind.  Feel the wind blowing you from sis to side, back and forth and around and around.  This will awakened energies in the navel center or chakkra.

The thirs stage lie on your back, open the eyes and with the heard still, rotate the eyes in a clockwise direction.  Sweep them fully around in the sockets as if you are following the second hand of a vast clock.  It is important that the mouth remains open and the jaw relaxed, with the breath soft and even.  This will bring yur centered energies to the third eye.

In the four stage close your eyes and be still.

 


As part of the Heart and Soul series, each Wednesday we will present a Meditation from the numerous meditation traditions Osho has given us.  We want to share and pass on as many of these as possible.  Often when Shanti (one of the meditation facilitators of The World of Meditation) would meet with Osho in a darshan, he would introduce to her a meditation technique, asking her to try it out.  Her love for experimenting with a variety of techniques continues even to this day.

Each session we will introduce the particular meditation presented.  Then we will all do the meditation.  There is always time before and after each meditation to ask questions and to just hang out with each other!
