Osho Dynamic Meditation (Online)

 

 

What is Osho’s Dynamic Meditation? This is an energizing, physical meditation that opens our breathing, and connects us with our body, and inner energies. These active parts are followed by stillness and witnessing, and dancing. It lasts for one hour and has five stages. It can be done alone, but it is also a very powerful and helpful experience to do it as a group. When doing this meditation in a group, the meditation still remains an individual experience.

Why do we offer this meditation? This meditation technique has been scientifically designed by Osho. It is very helpful by first exhausting the energy that the mind uses to continue thinking and chattering. And, it also exhausts the energy that the body uses. This allows for a space in which we can move into the silence within. Then it can give you a taste of what is there BEYOND the mind!

How we do it:

      1. In the first 10 minutes there is rapid chaotic breathing;
      2. Then the second 10 minutes everyone is allowed to express out loud their tears, sadness, anger, frustrations;
      3. The third stage uses active, Sufi based technique to exhaust the energies of the mind and the body;
      4. Then for 15 minutes we are still in silence – just watching whatever is happening.
      5. And then, for 15 minutes we have a free-form dance celebration.

Keeping the eyes closed, one remains oblivious of other participants around. Using a blindfold can be helpful to keep your attention focused inward. It is best to have an empty stomach and wear loose comfortable clothing.

Dynamic is best to be done in its complete form – the way Osho created it – with nothing shortened or omitted. It has traditionally been done in the morning. But it can be done anytime you can fit it into your schedule. We offer this meditation virtually every Saturday! It has been extremely helpful and transformational for us!
